Sharefam.com is Where Families Connect. Sharefam provides a place online to share photos, plan events, tell stories, and much more.
The Company
Sharefam.com was started by Dean Roy during 2007 to provide a safe, family-friendly environment for family members to share life. After participating in other social network sites, Mr. Roy decided to combine the utility of a network site and a family environment. Sharefam was created to allow families to use the tools that are common to social network sites without the clutter, indecency, and lack of privacy also common to those sites.
Sharefam.com launched in December of 2007 and quickly grew to several hundred families. In early 2008, management is continually updating the site to meet families’ needs.
The Table
When you enter Sharefam.com, you will be directed to a Table where you invite your family to join you. Many people have asked “Why put everyone around a table? Why not use a family tree?” Sharefam wants to create an atmosphere of sharing and connecting with family. We believe that the best place to connect with family is around the kitchen table, whether you are sharing a holiday dinner or just having a cup of coffee and talking. We hope to promote that type of connection on our site.
Management
Dean Roy - Founder and President
Mr. Roy founded Sharefam Enterprises, LLC in the summer of 2007 to build an online social network for families. Dean graduated from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in 2005 with a Bachelor in Business Administration in International Finance and Real Estate. In college, Dean served as the Chief Financial Officer for Watchdawgs, Inc, a local student run non-profit, and as President of the Terry College Dean’s Council. After college, he joined the Corporate Finance Division of FTI Consulting.
Dean is currently an active participant at Buckhead Community Church and serves as a volunteer tutor and coach at the Boys and Girls Club of Brookhaven. Although a native of New Orleans, LA, Dean currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
Paul Guidry - Managing Partner
Mr. Guidry is a Partner in Olsen and Guidry Investment Advisors. He specializes in financial planning and investment management for small businesses and their executives. He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University. Paul is a Certified Public Accountant, though not currently licensed.
Active in his community, Paul is chairman of Young Life of New Orleans and serves as a Sunday School Teacher at Woodland Presbyterian Church. His outside interests include fishing, golf, exercise and spending time with his “girls”. He, his wife Suzanne, and their daughters Madeline, Katherine, and Evangeline reside in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.
